Our Coir blocks are approx 650g and the size of a house brick.
When you leave to soak they will expand to make approximately 9 litres of fibre. They can then be used for seed raising or cuttings, as a base for homemade composts, or added to aerate garden waste composts.
Coir block is coconut fibre, and is used throughout the world to make rope and matting, its also used as the base for hanging baskets, COIR is a renewable resource.
Our coir comes only from organically grow coconut trees and are certified by the Soil Association, the UK’s leading campaigning and certification organization for organic food and farming.
Our Coir pH is 5.4-6.8, which means its great as worm bedding.

Instructions
Place the coir block into a bucket of water. Leave for approximately 30 minutes.
The coir block will expand and soak up the water.
Crumble up any lumps with your hands. or a trowel.
If you are using the coir in a wormery, add some used compost to the mixture to bring in some bacteria / fungi etc.
